First half of Workshop Madness (1 hour)
2nd half of Workshop Madness (1 hour)
These brief presentations (3 to 4 minutes long) will help acquaint participants to each other's papers. There will be limited time between presentations to ask questions of the presenters, but don't worry, discussions will happen during the breaks and group sessions. You can choose between the following presentation formats:
Participants will break into small groups of 4 or 5. We will try to make sure that participants work/discuss with different sets of people for each of the sessions. The first half of the session (45 minutes) will be spent discussing within the group. In the second half of the session (45 minutes), groups will present what they talked about to the whole workshop.
In this session, groups will discuss the designs, theories, and/or social implications that they have explored, experienced, and/or used in their work. The goal is to find common themes between people's work and to highlight important themes. Each group will try to focus on the theme assigned to their group.
In this session, groups will discuss future research directions for personal informatics and HCI. This could be related to solving technology problems, design issues, testing out theories, or studying social implications.
